TALISKER PORT RUIGHE

Talisker is a whisky brand that I personally always find very good. The Talisker port ruighe is a whisky that fits well in the Talisker range. As the slogan on the As the slogan on the bottle says "Made by the sea", you taste a bit of the salty of the sea. Also has the The port ruighe the smoky which you can expect from a Talisker. What makes the port ruighe in my opinion makes it unique is that it has a port cask finish which makes the Talisker port ruighe also has a sweet aftertaste. The Talisker port ruighe comes in a sturdy cardboard square packaging, with nice details on it. Like a beautiful picture of the Isle of Skye and details in the shape of the island. From this distillery comes a whole series of different whiskies from a wide range of age groups. Therefore, Talisker is not always the cheapest when it comes to a nice bottle. However, the Talisker port ruighe falls into a nice price range. The Talisker port rough has a beautiful dark colour. The Talisker port rough is what I think a very tasty whiskey to have in your range. Also, the Talisker port ruighe nice nice to give as a gift. He has a reasonable price, nice colour and a nice packaging.

The full-bodied scent that meets you when you open the bottle reveals the explosion of flavours that this whisky brings with it. A sweet fruity fragrance enters and is quickly taken over by the rich smoky note with a light bite of salt sea water.

What starts with the sweet taste of berries is followed by a smoky, salty taste. However, the Talisker port ruby is not as smoky as we have come to expect from a Talisker.

Verdict

The Talisker port ruighe has an alcohol percentage of 45.8%. This, in combination with the taste and the smell, makes this a tasty whisky for the non-beginner whisky drinker. If you want to enjoy an evening drinking whisky, this is for me a real recommendation.

DISTILLERY

The Talisker distillery was founded in 1830 by the MacAskill brothers. Located on the Isle of Skye in Scotland, it is the oldest distillery on the Isle. Situated on the shores of Loch Harport, the distillery defies the most rugged natural conditions that the countryside has to offer. From rugged coastlines and wild storms to warm sun-drenched days. The Isle of Skye provides the rough and rugged character that Talisker whiskies are known for. Made by the Sea.
